Meet the Membership Team
The Black Country Chamber of Commerce membership team consists of membership advisers and customer care advisers located across all four Chambers, ensuring that members and those interested in becoming members have a direct point of contact to experienced people who know Chamber inside out. Our advisers have a wealth of experience in Black Country business, commerce and culture and are on hand to answer queries, give advice and help you make the right contacts across all sectors, from micro businesses to corporates and from partners to patrons.
Gail Arnold, Membership Adviser for the Wolverhampton and Dudley areas of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, has been with the Chamber since June 1995. Gail is the first point of contact for anyone who wishes to join the Chamber as a member in Wolverhampton and Dudley. Her colleague Rennu Uppal is the Customer Care Adviser for Wolverhampton and Dudley and she is the contact for Chamber members who wish to use and find out more about the membership services.
Gail has worked in all aspects of the membership department over the last 14 years and has dealt with many businesses in the Wolverhampton area. She has recently taken over the role of recruitment for the Dudley division of the Chamber and is looking forward to working closely with the local businesses in the area.
Gail firmly believes all businesses should join the Chamber to benefit from the support services and the various contacts which can be made, to hopefully increase business and save money and time. As Gail says, “Joining the Chamber is like joining your local gym – you only get out of membership what you take out of it – by keep using our business support services, attending our networking events and contacting us to see how we can help you, we can then signpost you in the right area regarding your business issues.”

Alison Trinder is the Membership Adviser for the Walsall and Sandwell areas of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce. Alison’s original role on joining the Chamber in 2004 was as a Customer Care Adviser, contacting local member companies to keep them informed of Chamber services and events. She then was promoted to the job role of Membership Adviser for Sandwell. Alison works closely with local partners “Finditinsandwell”, and has built up good working relationships with the members.
Alison says, “Being the Membership Adviser for both Walsall and Sandwell is an exciting challenge and I am looking forward to helping local businesses involved in the Chamber. The Chamber membership package is being upgraded all the time, to make sure that businesses in the Black Country are getting the help they need!” Alison believes that joining the Chamber should be a priority to any business, no matter what size.
